A Seaweed Festival workshop. 9th March.

Unearth the intricate beauty of seaweed in this hands-on botanical drawing workshop led by renowned illustrator Sandra Morris. Learn techniques of scientific illustration while capturing the unique textures and shapes of collected seaweed.

Connect with art and nature as you celebrate Seaweed Festival 2025. The workshop reflects the kaupapa of the Love Rimurimu project, with all collected seaweed respectfully returned to its habitat after the event.

All materials will be provided – courtesy of the generous donation from friends at Gordon Harris The Art and Graphic Store.

About Sandra Morris
Sandra Morris is an award-winning author, illustrator, and botanical artist. She has taught botanical art and scientific illustration for many years and was awarded an ONZM in 2023 for her contributions to education and illustration. Sandra’s work has been featured in international exhibitions, and she has held residencies at Auckland and Wellington Botanic Gardens.
