About the 2024 emissions reduction monitoring report
The report provides an evidence-based, impartial view of whether the country is on course to reach its goals of reducing and removing greenhouse gas emissions. It provides insight into the progress made, challenges experienced, and opportunities and risks that need to be considered. This is our first annual monitoring report on emissions reductions. The annual reports will provide a series of snapshots that build a picture over time of how country is tracking.
The report will be made publicly available ahead of the webinar on 2 August and published on the Climate Change Commission website.
